Local man turns love of 60’s TV show into book

Shadows of Newport BookWhen Rhode Islander Michael Seggie watched the 1960’s gothic soap opera “Dark Shadows” he was inspired to learn more about the local connection with the show.

Little did he know when he started his search, a mansion located right in Newport, Rhode Island was used for the outside shots on the classic TV show.

After learning that, he took his interest and turned it into a career becoming a tour guide in Newport and writing the historically haunting book, ‘In the Shadows of a Newport Mansion’.

If you want to read ‘In the Shadows of a Newport Mansion’, it is available now in local libraries and on Amazon.com.
