Pair charged in car breaks

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — A stolen credit card led Dartmouth Police to a pair of men they say are connection to a series of car break-ins.

Authorities say they were called to the Wal-Mart in Dartmouth Saturday after a man tried to used a stolen credit card at the checkout. He fled the store parking lot in a red minivan, which was later stopped by police.

The two men in the vehicle were identified as Danny Silva, 38, of Dartmouth, and Mark Sadeck, 43, of New Bedford. During a search of the van, police found credit cards that were reported stolen earlier in the day following a series of car break-ins in Dartmouth. Police say they pair also admitted to breaking into another car in New Bedford.

Both Sadeck and Silva had several outstanding warrants.
