Shot fired on I-95, but no one hit

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – State Police are looking for a vehicle after a shot was fired Saturday morning on Interstate 95.

Lieutenant Colonel Todd Catlow told Eyewitness News that State Police were called “after the fact” regarding the shooting, which took place shortly before 6 a.m. on 95 North between Exits 23 and 24 in Providence.

Someone in a car fired one shot at a second vehicle, but the bullet did not hit the target vehicle or anyone in it. There were several people in each vehicle.

Catlow said that the two groups of people knew each other, and that State Police had received a description of the suspect vehicle and were looking for it.
