Cops: Woman knocks off Fall River bank

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — The hunt is on in Fall River for a woman police said robbed a Webster Bank Monday afternoon.

Police said a woman entered the bank on Jeremiah V. Sullivan Drive at 12:51 p.m. and demanded money from a teller. With cash in hand, the suspect then left the bank.

Police said no one was hurt in the robbery and no weapon was shown.

Police provided the following suspect description:

  • White female
  • Between 30 and 40 years old
  • About 5’5″ to 5’6″ tall
  • Heavy build
