Trouble-free travel tips for families

The busiest travel day of the year is almost upon us. And if you’re packing up the little ones for a family gathering, you may already be stressing about the car ride.

WPRI.com digital journalist and mom blogger Courtney Caligiuri joined The Rhode Show to share some innovative and parent-invented items that can ease the strain of travel for parents.

Some of Courtney’s favorite items featured in the segment:

  • Top Carrier Cover for winter by Cozy Cover: A must-have for outings with baby during the colder winter months. It is a warm and soft infant carrier that protects your loved one from Mother Nature’s elements, such as rain, snow, wind, unwanted touch, and more. Suggested age: 0-12 months
  • On the Go Changing Pad: It can easily be stowed in a diaper bag or attached to stroller with its Velcro handle for when baby needs a quick change.  It features expandable pockets so you can have all of your necessities at your fingertips; there is even a zipped pocket to store your I.D, keys and more. Recommended age: birth – 2 years
  • Portable Easy Seat: With its adjustable back design, this product can convert any regular chair into a safe and secure high chair.  Its compact design features its own carrying case for easy storage. The five point safety harness makes it worry free to let your little one sit at the “big people” table. Recommended for ages 6+ month up to 35 lbs.
  • BubbleBum: The First-Ever Inflatable Car Booster Seat: Award-winning BubbleBum is the original, inflatable car booster seat for kids aged 4-11 years, weighing 40-100 lbs. Weighing in at less than one pound, BubbleBum can deflate in minutes, making it simple to throw in a backpack or large purse. It is the perfect travel companion for road trips, everyday use, vacations, cab rides, fly-ins, and more.
