PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Nine people are displaced from their home after a three-alarm fire damaged a third-floor apartment Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded around 1:40 p.m. to a triple-story apartment building located at 166 Woodbine St.
According to the Pawtucket fire chief, nine people were inside the apartment on Woodbine Street when the fire broke out on the third floor. All nine occupants got out safely, but are now displaced from their home.
Firefighters also sustained minor injuries during the response, including cuts and scrapes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
