FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — One of Fall River’s most wanted, who was arrested earlier this month, has been indicted on bank robbery charges.
According to The Herald News, Michael Couto was indicted Monday on one count of armed robbery.
Couto, 46, is accused of robbing the Fall River Municipal Credit Union on Robeson Street on Nov. 25.
Police say he told the teller he was armed, though he did not show a weapon, and then ran from the bank after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
Couto is expected to be arraigned at a later date.
