Louis Pacheco, Chief of Operations for the DA’s office and former Raynam police chief, will head up the team as chairman.
Two former mayors of Fall River, Carlton Viveiros and Robert Correia, were also named as members. Rounding out the group is Melissa Panchely of the Fall River School Committee, Joan Medeiros of Bristol County Savings Bank and Vice President of Commercial Lending Group, attorney and former City Councilman Bradford Kilby, District Attorney’s office Chief of Staff Lisa Kaminski, and Joseph Marshall, principal of J. Marshall Associates and former president of the Fall River Office of Economic Development.
Sutter said the goal of the transition team will be to evaluate and fix the problems in city hall. He noted that every member of his team is committed to the city.
“The transition team are individuals who are deeply woven into the fabric of Fall River for the past 30 years. Some through politics, some through business – all joined by an abiding love for the city,” he said Tuesday.
Sutter reassured constituents that he doesn’t believe his departure from the District Attorney’s office will have any effect on the Aaron Hernandez murder trial.
Sutter’s campaign confirmed that he’ll officially take office on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
