PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced Tuesday that its buses will be running on a holiday schedule this Thursday in observance of Christmas Day, and next Thursday in observance of New Year’s Day.
For both holidays, the following service changes will occur:
- Flex Service, including Route 210 (Kingston) will not be available
- Route 211 Kingston Connection will not be available
- Statewide RIde program will operate only ADA trips

Regular fixed-route service will resume the following day in both instances.
All RIPTA offices, including the photo identification and ticket sales offices in Kennedy Plaza, will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Flex Service and RIde reservation lines will also not be staffed.
