Bank robber gets away from St. Anne’s Credit Union

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened at St. Anne’s Credit Union on State Road in Dartmouth.

The incident took place at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, when the alleged unarmed suspect demanded money and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Witnesses said the suspect never stated that he had a weapon, and one was never observed to be in his possession.

According to information gathered at the scene, the suspect entered the bank and told the teller to empty the drawer. The suspect was described to be a white male, between 5’9” and 5’11”, average build and was seen wearing a dark mask, white and blue gloves, a white long sleeve sweatshirt with a design on the front, dark pants, and white sneakers.

After an extensive search of the area the suspect could not be located.

The incident remains under investigation.
