Armed robbery at Pawtucket convenience store

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) – Two men robbed a Pawtucket convenience store late Friday night, according to police.

The two clerks who were working at the One Stop Deli and Convenience Store at 454 Pawtucket Avenue told officers that they had been robbed at gunpoint a little before 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The two suspects were wearing dark clothing and masks and the clerks believed that one was a white man and the other was a man with a darker complexion.

According to the clerks, the two suspects pointed a silver handgun at them and demanded cash and cigarettes, which the clerks handed over.

Both suspects fled on foot. Neither of the clerks was hurt.

Police did not have any surveillance video to distribute but asked anyone with information on the robbery to call Detective Johnston at the Pawtucket Police Department, 401-727-9100.
