FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A jury found a New Bedford man guilty of second-degree murder Tuesday for a killing that happened over a decade ago.
Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn said a Fall River Superior Court judge sentenced 40-year-old Shawn Hunt to life in prison after the jury returned its verdict.
Prosecutors said Hunt took part in the drive-by shooting that killed 20-year-old Alberto “Tito” Gonzalez on November 30, 2003.
Quinn says Hunt will be eligible for parole in 15 years.
