Snow days, school closing protocols for each district

(WPRI) — After the recent snowfall, schools all around the region are now faced with the challenge of making up lost days.

Each school district has a designated number of days allotted for potential snow days, and some districts are already approaching their limits.

Making up school can easily become problematic because state law requires students to attend 180 days of school — without continuing past June 30.

Eyewitness News reached out to superintendents in each of the 39 cities and towns in Rhode Island, as well as Attleboro, New Bedford, and Fall River to see how specific districts are handling the situation.
