EXETER, R.I. (WPRI) – There are times where the owner of Yawgoo Valley has to worry about whether there will be enough snow to ski. This is not one of those years.
Owner Max de Wardener told Eyewitness News said the season’s massive snow totals has meant less use of his snow-making machines and more money in his pocket. He said more than 900 people turned out Wednesday to ski or sled.
And most skiers agree this has been a season to remember.
“I think really this year has been the best,” Thomas Turner told Eyewitness News. “Just because the snow that we have been having is really really light, and really powdery. I think that really helps out.”
