PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A second suspect is in custody in connection with a stabbing death outside a Pawtucket convenience store.
Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force Thursday arrested Rolando Brooks, 22, of Taunton.
He is accused of taking part in the Feb. 10 murder of William McKenna, the brother of Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg.
Police allege Brooks punched William McKenna as he exited a Benefit Street convenience store, before McKenna was stabbed to death by Matthew Marcotte. Marcotte was arrested last week and ordered held without bail at his arraignment earlier this week.
Brooks was captured in Central Falls Thursday. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy.
