Search for shoving suspect after Bay Coast Bank holdup

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Police in Fall River are looking for a robbery suspect who shoved a woman out of the way to commit the crime.

A person in a coat with a fur-edged hood entered the Bay Coast Bank on Pleasant Street Thursday morning about 9:40 a.m., carrying a knife, and shoving a 78-year-old woman out of the way while she was at a teller window conducting business.

The suspect got away with cash and was last seen walking south on Claflin Street towards Alden Street. He was described as a white male, 5′ 8″ to 6′ tall, with a medium build.

Police did not say if the shoved woman was seriously hurt.
