FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WPRI) — School officials in Fairhaven are considering making some changes to school vacation weeks in order to compensate for snow days.
The district has used five snow days so far this year, and the school committee is now discussing the possibility of eliminating both February and April vacation.
The plan would exchange the two per-determined vacation weeks for one school vacation week in March.
If approved, the changes would take effect in future school years.
