PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man arrested last month on firearm and drug charges has been arraigned in the slaying of a man four months ago in Providence.
Investigators took Tevin Briggs into custody on Jan. 10 and seized three stolen firearms and approximately seven grams of crack cocaine.
Briggs, 20, has been held since then, and on Monday was arraigned for a homicide that took place Oct. 22 in the city’s Chad Brown section, Providence Police Major David Lapatin confirms.
According to police, 22-year-old Terry Robinson was shot to death in broad daylight in the area of Fillmore Street.
A second victim survived injuries suffered in the shooting, which investigators believe may have been gang-related.
