A Warwick complex fire Wednesday destroyed 38 condos, and all of their belongings have been burned.
In light of the fire, we wanted to talk about the importance of renters insurance. Is it worth it?
Consumer Reporter Susan Hogan joined The Rhode Show to share tips on what you need to know to protect your belongings.
Some of Susan’s tips:
- Without renters insurance the contents inside your home are not covered
- Owners have insurance of their own, but that only applies to the house structure
- Rental insurance is relatively inexpensive — usually between $200-$300 a year
