CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — One of Rhode Island’s most notorious murderers will be staying behind bars.

Eyewitness News Monday confirmed the Rhode Island Parole Board denied parole for Craig Price.

Price was 15 years old in 1989 when he admitted to killing Joan Heaton and her daughters, Melissa and Jennifer, who were his neighbors in Warwick. He also confessed to the 1987 murder of another neighbor – Rebecca Spencer – in that city.

Price will now serve the remainder of his sentence through July 2018 with good time at a prison in Florida. After that, he will serve 2 1/2 years in jail for stabbing a correctional officer in that state.
