PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Pawtucket arrested two men on Friday after cocaine and a handgun were discovered in their car.

At approximately 12:35 a.m, a Pawtucket officer said he saw a car continue through a stop sign without stopping. The car then accelerated, driving at approximately 60 or 70 miles per hour, according to the officer. The officer said the two individuals inside the car seemed to be moving around suspiciously.

The officer searched the car after it stopped in an apartment complex parking lot.

The officer said there was one live round and one spent shell casing on the floor of the car. The officer also located a small baggie containing a white substance consistent with cocaine on Ralph’s person.

Ralph, age 27, of Polo Street, was charged with possession with intent to deliver, driving in possession of a controlled substance, and reckless driving.

Pine, age 27, of Main Street, was charged with possession of arms by a person convicted of a crime of violence, and license or permit required for carrying a pistol.

Ralph was ordered held without bail while Pine was ordered held on $10,000 bail with surety.
