RICHMOND, RI (WPRI) – The highest ranking woman in the history of the Rhode Island State Police has a new job.
On Tuesday, Lt. Col. Karen Pinch was named the new town administrator of Richmond.
Pinch is the third in command at the state police.
Eyewitness news was the first to report the news Tuesday on Eyewitness News at 11:00 on WPRI 12.
Pinch will retire from the state police to take the position.
She will be sworn in on April 8 and her first day will be April 13 according to Richmond town council president Henry Oppenheimer.
