PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police officers responded Monday morning to a report of a convenience store robbed on Chalkstone Avenue.

A clerk at the Chalkstone Dairy Land at the corner of Chalkstone and Geneva Streets said the suspect walked in shortly after 9 a.m. and put a gun to her head.

Marked Providence Police SUVs were parked outside when Eyewitness News crews were there, but police have yet to confirm if they’re looking for a suspect in the case.

The woman was not physically hurt in the incident. She said the robber stole all the money in the register and some other items from the store.
