PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A Providence woman is facing multiple charges after police say she stabbed a woman in Pawtucket early Monday.
Pawtucket police allege 48-year-old Karen Bessell was vandalizing a vehicle at her ex-boyfriend’s house when she was confronted by another woman around 2:20 a.m. Monday.
During the ensuing confrontation, Bessell is accused of stabbing the other woman in both of her arms.
The 39-year-old victim was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Bessell is charged with felony assault, domestic vandalism, and disorderly conduct.
