PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The cost of a gallon of gas in Rhode Island had dropped 4 cents in the past week.
AAA Northeast reports Monday that self-serve, regular is down to an average of $2.36 per gallon.

That price is a penny lower than a month ago and $1.23 lower than at this time a year ago. It’s also 6 cents per gallon below the national average.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.17 per gallon and as high as $2.59 in Rhode Island.
