PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The driver charged with killing two people in a wrong-way crash has been released from jail.
The parents of Joel Norman, the 24-year-old accused with driving drunk and killing a young couple, posted his bail — which was set at $100,000 with surety.
The Sunday morning crash claimed the lives of 21-year-old Tiffany Sical and her fiance, 23-year-old Bryan Rodriguez-Solis.
The two leave behind a 5-year-old daughter.
Norman is charged with two counts of DUI, death resulting, but family members of the victims want the charges upgraded to manslaughter.
