Bryant went right back to work after the Bingel big fly and scored four more runs. Junior AJ Zarozny (Shrewsbury, Mass.) followed with a double and Mullen reached on a throwing error. After an intentional walk loaded the bases, sophomore Cole Fabio (Mahwah, N.J.) slapped a single through the right side to score two. Junior Buck McCarthy (Saugus, Mass.) brought home a run with a sac fly and Paparelli capped the big inning with a bunt single to score Fabio from third.
The Bulldogs then padded their lead with two runs in the fifth and four in the ninth. In the sixth, Mountford singled to lead off, stole second and scored as Bingel doubled down the left field line. Bingel would come around to score on a Mullen ground out to make it 11-3.
In the ninth, Mountford fell behind 0-2 but worked the count 2-2 before launching a solo home run to deep right center. It was his fourth home run of the season. It also started a two-out rally as Bingel singled, Zarozny tripled and Mullen and Rinn hit back-to-back doubles to make it 15-3.
Junior Kyle Wilcox (Sandy Hook, Conn.) was the recipient of the offensive outburst and earned his third-straight win with a dominating outing. After giving up three runs on three hits in the first, Wilcox allowed just two baserunners over the next seven innings. He allowed a leadoff single in the third and a two-out single in the eighth to Arman. In between, he set down 19-straight.
