We’re making Hillbilly Lasagna in the kitchen with Chef Charles D. Frizado, Jr. of Wing-n-It in Bristol.
4 Cups Stewed Tomatoes
2 Cups Tomato Sauce
1 Tbsp Garlic
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Fresh Parsley
1 Tbsp Fresh chopped garlic
24 Oz Ricotta Cheese
1 Box Lasagna Noodles
Wing-N-It BBQ Sauce
Pan Needed is a Jumbo Muffin Pan
Boil lasagna noodles
Dice the stewed tomatoes
Place on stove top to a rolling boil
Mix in rest of ingredients and simmer for ten minutes, letting all the ingredients blend nicely
Take off stove and now it’s time to build
Lay a single layer of lasagna noodle in the greased muffin pan.
Toss in a layer of your choice of meat
Then sauce and fold
Layer in ricotta cheese fold
Layer meat choice sauce and fold
Then place cheese choice on top. We chose to go with Smoked Gouda cheese.
Bake at 350 for 20 min
Take out of oven and let set for 5 minutes
Use rubber spatula to free the edges and serve.
