BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) – Jurors in the Boston Marathon Bombings Trial were back in federal court Tuesday for the first time since convicting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Judge George O’Toole warned jurors to stay away from this year’s marathon and any events related to Wednesday’s anniversary of the 2013 bombings.
Jurors are awaiting the penalty phase of the trial to begin, which is scheduled to get underway on Tuesday, April 21.
Judge O’Toole told jurors that the penalty phase is expected to last four weeks.
Tsarnaev faces the death penalty or life in jail.
