PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — An accused killer is now facing more charges.
Matthew Marcotte, who was charged with the murder of 53-year-old William McKenna in February, has now been accused of taking part in a brutal robbery.
Keith Godfrey told Target 12 that he was beaten and robbed by Marcotte and two other men. According to Godfrey, the altercation happened ten days before Marcotte allegedly killed McKenna.
McKenna is the younger brother of Supreme Court Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg.
Marcotte has now been charged with first-degree robbery.
