Attorney General to hold Shred-A-Thons across the state

Shred-A-Thon to be Held in Warwick and Lincoln on Monday, May 11.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island’s State Attorney General is hosting several free Shred-A-Thons this upcoming week.

Attorney General Peter Kilmartin is inviting Rhode Islanders to bring up to “two banker boxes” of documents to “Shred-A-Thon” locations across the state beginning Monday, May 11.

The “Shred-A-Thon” is part of an effort by the Attorney General to prevent identity theft.

Those who bring boxes to the “Shred-A-Thon” are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
