NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — The International Tennis Hall of Fame museum is putting the final touches on a multimillion-dollar upgrade.
The upgrade costs roughly $3 million and brings new modern touches to the museum — including a “Call Your Shot” interactive area for future broadcasters.
“The game is changing, our visitors are changing — they’re getting younger. Technology is becoming a lot more important in how people relate to history and information. This was an opportunity to upgrade our museum, make it a lot more relevant — and to connect people generationally to the game,” said Douglas Stark, Director of the Fame Museum.
The museum is also complete with an eight minute hologram message to fans from Roger Federer.
