WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – The daughter of an unsolved murder victim speaks out after two years has gone by and still no answers about her father’s death.

Meaghan Fay spoke exclusively to Eyewitness News on the two-year anniversary of her father’s death.

Her father, 66-year-old John “Jack” Fay, went for a run on May 16, 2013, and was found dead the next day inside a barrel in Warwick’s City Park. Police say he was bludgeoned to death by a sledgehammer.

Meaghan says she still feels the pain of not having closure. “The difficult thing is you don’t really get closure when so much of what happened is unknown.”

Two years later, the murder case of Jack Fay is now appearing to go cold. According to the Warwick Police, there’s no new evidence and they have no suspects to date.

Referring to City Park, the scene of her father’s unsolved homicide, Meagan says, “I think that we have so many great memories from when we were kids,” says Meagan. “We had spent so much time there…to go there now, it’s just really, really difficult because that was a place that he loved so much and that was a major part of our childhoods.”

The Fay family is offering a $25,000 cash reward for leads in the case. Warwick Police say they are still investigating and told Eyewitness News the case remains a top priority.
