WESTERLY, R.I. (WPRI) – Police have identified a man who fell to his death at an old quarry Sunday morning.
Jack Daniels, 28, of Woody Hill Road in Westerly had been riding motorcycles with several other people on the property of Armetta Sand & Stone on Church Street when he somehow fell between 80 and 100 feet to his death.
It happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
Police said he was treated at the scene but his injuries were too severe to survive.
The other people he had been riding with were interviewed by police and released; Police Chief Ed St. Clair said Daniels was not on a motorcycle when he fell.
