NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) – The Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show took flight this weekend at Quonset Point.
This is the Air Show’s 24th year and as in past years, one act continues to steal the show.
The FA/18 Hornets, also knows as the “Blue Angels,” fly six planes in formation and continue to be the highlight of the show.
The weather for this weekend’s outdoor event has been clear so far, but traffic getting to the show has been a hassle.
Parking lots filled quickly and Air Show officials asked spectators Saturday afternoon to come Sunday instead.
