NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Police in New Bedford have cited a woman — who was previously charged years ago — for causing a massive crash they sent multiple people to the hospital.
Police said Wendy Price-Baldassari was driving Wednesday near Acuchnet Avenue and Ohio Street, when she bent over to reach for something in her SUV and struck two vehicles and a school bus.
Police cited her for failing to operate a motor vehicle within marked lanes and operating a vehicle without a license.
Price-Baldassari made headlines back in 2011 as the ‘damsel in distress,’ after she pleaded guilty to 20 counts of larceny.
Police said she would give sob stories to people, claiming she could not afford gas — but she would never pay them back.
