PLAINVILLE, MASS. (WPRI)- Massachusetts only slot parlor will officially open it’s doors on Wednesday.
Plainridge Park Casino features more than 1,250 video slot machines, table games and video poker machines. The $225 million parlor was granted an opening certificate last week by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
The facility’s owners, Penn National Gaming, say almost 500 employees have been hired so far. Half of the new employees will work in the food and beverage areas.
The casino is one of four to five gambling facilities that will open in the bay state over the next few years.
