CAPE COD, Mass. (WPRI) — Just like fire flies and mosquitoes, another sign of summer has appeared on the Cape.
The first great white of 2015 was spotted off Orleans Monday.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy captured an up-close image of the 15-foot female and Tweeted it out.
The group – which tracks the movements of the sharks – said the shark was new to its catalog.
The group started a five-year population study on Cape Cod last year.
