LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — A country club in Lincoln was forced to clear Tuesday, after stormy weather made its way though the area.
Around 5 p.m., dark, ominous clouds brought thunder and lightning to the Kirkbrae Country Club.
Assistant Manager Melanie Bessette told Eyewitness News, they had to “pull everyone off the course, pull everyone out of the pool.”
She said, as everyone made their way inside a building at the club, all of their phones started dinging with alerts about a tornado warning.
Bessette said the clouds started swirling leading to nothing like she’s ever seen before.
Very little rain accompanied the ominous clouds, meaning most everyone was able to go complete their rounds of golf once the threat had passed.
