3 people indicted in Fall River homicide

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office has indicted three people in connection with the homicide of 20-year-old Anthony Carvalho.

19-year-old Kevin Lara, 17-year-old Tavon Pires and 19-year-old-Mickey Rivera were indicted Thursday by a Bristol County Grand Jury and are facing multiple charges.

Lara is charged with murder, while all three are facing attempted armed robbery and armed assault with intent to rob, in addition to other charges.

Police say that Carvalho was shot multiple times back in March at the intersection of Osborn and Ridge Streets. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

All three suspects are expected to be arraigned on the indictments in Fall River Superior Court at a later date.
