Cops investigating bank robbery seek person of interest

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Warwick police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man in a robbery investigation.

Police believe the man may be a witness or may have been in the area prior to a robbery on June 16 of Coastway Credit Union on Post Road.

During that robbery, a man – believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s and possibly wearing a wig – entered the bank alone at about 9:45 a.m. and demanded money from two tellers.

Anyone with information on the identity of either man is asked to contact Warwick detectives at 401-468-4233 or the anonymous TIP line at 401-732-8477 (401-732-TIPS).
