Police identify man who died after losing control of scooter

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Police have identified the man who died after he lost control of his motorized scooter in Fall River and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

The Herald News reports 42-year-old Russell Ferreira died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. Investigators say the Fall River man was traveling north on South Main Street when he lost control and swerved into an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle wasn’t injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
