Q&A: Bishop Nicholas Knisely

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Bishop Nicholas Knisely of the Episcopal Church of Rhode Island talked with Eyewitness News morning anchor Patrick Little about the church celebrating its 225th anniversary.

The bishop talked about the newly elected Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, Michael Curry. He is the first African American to be elected as a presiding bishop.

Bishop Knisely also talked about the church’s progressive stance on same-sex marriage.

The 225th anniversary will be celebrated at a special Waterfire event in Providence.
