Thief holds up cigar store at gunpoint

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police say a masked man was after cash not stogies when entered BK House of Cigars in Pawtucket Monday night.

According to police, the thief entered the Broadway business around 11:15 p.m. with a black bag in one hand and a long black and silver revolver in the other.

The clerk told officers the robber placed the bag on the counter, pointed the gun and told him to put the money in the bag.

Police said the thief took the cash and left the store, heading south on Broadway toward Central Ave. Investigators did not reveal how much money was taken.

The clerk told police the gunman was white or light-skinned, 5′ 9″ and about 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black mask that covered his entire face except for his eyes.  He wore a black sweatshirt with a hood, a white t-shirt, and black sweat pants.
