Crash in Dartmouth sends pedestrian, driver to hospital

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Two people were taken to the hospital Tuesday night following a crash in Dartmouth.

According to police on scene, a car struck a woman at about 7:30 p.m. on Russells Mills Road, in the area of Dartmouth High School.

The female pedestrian was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with significant, but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver, also female, was taken to the hospital as well. Her condition is not known at this time.

The crash forced police to shut down the road for about an hour.
