CVS robbery suspect arrested on unrelated charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The man accused of robbing the CVS store in Kennedy Plaza on Friday, July 17 is now behind bars on similar, but separate, charges.

According to the Providence Police Department, Robert Pernini was taken into custody in a different district. He will be charged with second degree robbery in that case.

Pernini is accused of making off with more than $150 in last Friday’s robbery.
