Pawtucket woman charged with embezzling more than $200K

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Pawtucket woman for allegedly embezzling more than $200,000.

According to East Providence police, Anne Marine Gleason, 57, was charged with embezzlement of more than $100.

Police said Gleason’s employer, Numaco Packaging, noticed several discrepancies in the company’s banking records, and after a reconciliation of its accounts, more than $200,000 was missing.

Gleason has been a bookkeeper at Numaco since 2012, according to police, and has a previous embezzlement conviction.
