Pawtucket bank robbed by male suspect

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket police are searching for a suspect after a bank was robbed Friday morning.

The Citizens Bank on Newport Avenue was held up at about 9 a.m.

According to police, the suspect passed a note and said no one would get hurt if his demands were met. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male with a goatee, who stands about 6 feet tall and weighs between 180 and 220 pounds. Police said he was wearing a dark Boston Red Sox hat, earrings, dark shirt, cargo pants, sneakers and sunglasses.
