Police: Warwick man struck by car in stable condition at RI Hospital

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Warwick police have identified a man who was hit by a car while riding his bike earlier this week.

According to police, 53-year-old Eduard Brum, of Warwick, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital after he was struck by a car around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Brum was riding his bike in the area of 2000 Warwick Avenue when he was struck – and he was reportedly not wearing a helmet.

According to police, alcohol and speed do not seem to be a factor in the crash and criminal charges are unlikely.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Hart in the traffic division at (401) 468-4345.
