Woman accused of murder pleads not guilty

Adrienne Brown, whose face was partially covered by a hood, was arraigned on Monday.

FALL RIVER, MASS. (WPRI) – A Fall River woman accused of a May murder pleaded not guilty Friday.

Adrienne Brown was arraigned on a grand jury indictment, which was handed down in July. She is accused of stabbing 53-year-old Brian Jones to death outside of his home on Third Street on May 30. Brown surrendered to police two days after the attack.

Brown claims she acted in self-defense. She is being held on $250,000 bail.
